Ari Knazan Background:

• 35 years of Martial Arts Study
• 18 years Teaching Jiu Jitsu
• Police Officer and Use of Force Expert
• 1st Degree Black Belt Gracie (Brazilian) Jiu Jitsu under Professor Keith Owen 
• 5th Degree Black Belt in Japanese Jiu Jitsu (Goshin) under Kyoshi Steve Hiscoe
• Black Belts in Aikido and Daito Ryu Jujutsu
• Co-Founder of the INVICTUS Jiu Jitsu Collective

Ari has been teaching Jiu Jitsu in Victoria BC since 2003 and formally ran Fierce Martial Arts for 18 years. He has now moved his focus in training a specialize group of students in the art of self defence and defensive tactics through the art of Gracie and Goshin Jiu Jitsu. Ari is the highest ranking and most experienced Japanese Jiu Jitsu instructors;'; (under Kyoshi Steve Hiscoe of the Canadian Jiu Jitsu Union) on Vancouver Island and also a proud BJJ black belt under Professor Keith Owen. 

In 2017, Ari received his Renshi Certificate (Training Mastery), from the Canadian Jiu Jitsu Union (Kyoshi Steve Hiscoe and Hanshi Ed Hiscoe) for 15 his years of teaching service. ​Ari is also the  Co-Founder of INVICTUS, the world wide movement dedicated to teaching Jiu Jitsu to law enforcement.
